• The solar field spans 150 hectares and has an installed capacity of 68 MW.
• The solar field comprises 236 580 modules of 78.071 MWp (at STC) solar panels.
• It is situated 20 kilometres North East of Leeudoringstad and 35 kilometres South West of Orkney in the North West Province.

• Bokamoso Solar received Environmental Authorisation in July 2014.
• Construction of the power plant commenced in November 2018.
• Commercial Operation Date was achieved in August 2020.

• The solar field is connected to Eskom’s Bokamoso switching station. It generates approximately 68 MW of clean, renewable energy to the national grid, addressing the ongoing and increasing need for electricity in South Africa.
• The solar field produces enough electricity to supply approximately 73 000 medium-sized South African homes.
• Approximately 206 000 tonnes of carbon emissions are eliminated each year when compared to traditional fossil fuel power fields.
• Bokamoso Solar will positively impact the communities located within a 50km radius of the plant, for a 20 year period of operations.
• Owned by Bokamoso Solar (RF) Pty Ltd: shareholders include IDEAS Fund managed by Old Mutual (SA) Ltd, Reatile Solar Power (RF) (Pty) Ltd, Phakwe Solar(RF) (Pty), Business Venture Investments 1984 (Pty) Ltd and Cicada Community Trust.
